Community Guidelines

Last Updated: January 2026

Omnars is a professional environment for developers to connect, code, and collaborate. These Community Guidelines are designed to foster a safe, respectful, and productive atmosphere. By using our services, you agree to adhere to these standards.

1. Expected Conduct

We expect all users to treat others with dignity and professionalism. Specifically:

Be Professional

Approach interactions as you would in a co-working space or tech conference. Focus on technology, career growth, and mutual support.

Respect Boundaries

If a user declines to share personal information or wishes to end a conversation, respect their decision immediately.

2. Prohibited Behavior

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension or termination:

  • Harassment & Hate Speech: Bullying, intimidation, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability.
  • Illegal Content: Sharing or promoting illegal acts, violent extremism, or child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We cooperate with law enforcement for such violations.
  • Nudity & Sexual Content: Displaying nudity or engaging in sexual acts. This is a professional platform, not a dating or adult site.
  • Doxxing: Sharing another person's private information without their explicit consent.
  • Spam & Scams: Unauthorized advertising, phishing, multi-level marketing, or soliciting financial credentials.
  • Malware & Harmful Code: distributing viruses, worms, or malicious scripts.

3. Enforcement & Consequences

We utilize a graduated enforcement approach based on the severity and frequency of violations. We reserve the right to determine the appropriate response at our sole discretion.

Warnings

For minor or first-time infractions, we may issue a warning or temporarily restrict access to certain features.

Suspensions

Repeated violations or moderate offenses may result in a temporary suspension of your account or device access.

Permanent Bans

Severe safety violations (e.g., CSAM, threats of violence) or persistent non-compliance will result in a permanent ban.

4. Safety, Reporting & Responsibility

Our Role vs. Your Responsibility

Omnars provides the infrastructure for connection. We do not proactively monitor real-time conversations. You are responsible for your interactions and the content you share.

Reporting Process

If you encounter behavior violating these guidelines, please use the in-app "Report" feature immediately. This flags the session metadata for our review. We investigate reports and take appropriate action.

5. Legal & Updates

Cooperation with Law Enforcement: We may preserve and disclose any data (to the extent we possess it) if compelled by law or to prevent imminent physical harm.

Updates: These guidelines may evolve. We will notify users of material changes. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
